Cuddle time

I have a feeling some may look at this blog and say enough of the cuddle time during TV pictures. But I’m the one who does it, and I love these pictures. One day, they will be communicating via grunts from across the room. These I love because I left the room and came back, and they had gotten their favorite blankies, and Matthew was wearing his favorite blue hat. (Hmmmm... I also noticed that Jonathan had on different pants so that may have been the reason for the appearance of blankets and a hat. They got them during Jonathan’s wardrobe change.)

Never too old to hold a hand

My thumb used to be a full handful for Matthew. Now his hand is too quickly approaching the size of my own hand. And there’s a foot in there, too. Jonathan is likely sitting on my lap. Ha ha!

Big bump

As I am updating the boys’ blog months after this happened, I don’t remember what in the world he did to cause this bump. He hit his head HARD! I do remember the large bump on his head. I like his expression where he is looking at the camera... “Like no big deal, Mom. It’s just a minor concussion.” Geez, kid!

Later in the day, Matthew drew a picture of him and Jonathan together. Matthew is the one in the middle, and Jonathan is on the right. I’m thinking that just maybe the object on the left in the picture may be a tee ball set with the ball on top of it. I seem to remember that the neighbor’s kid accidentally hit him in the head with a bat... but that may have been Matthew she hit. But it makes sense since he did illustrate that the day of, and I’m trying to remember it months from then. Ha ha! Anyway, I digressed. There is a big round circle on Jonathan’s head... That is his bump that Matthew drew on his head. They crack me up!

Matthew is writing his name without assistance now. He has been signing cards and spells it with ease. He even is writing it so that I can read it. I’m so proud of how far he’s come this year!

The lady’s man

We have been doing a game night with my high school friends, Andrea and Katie, and their families. Matthew got a little cozy with Teagan tonight. I think it was more of the fact that neither one of them wanted to give up the Pooh Bear chair, but it’s super sweet anyway!
